Eating me out
Next performance: Dec 17, 2017 @TopLab
There is much more to our bodies than we can see. Like wild vaginal cultures fermenting our feminism into yogurt. Feel free to touch, smell and taste. Experience a different connection with our own microbiome!
Mirela Alistar researches technology that enables people to perform themselves medical diagnosis and even produce their own medicine. Her recent experiments have been revolving around our “selfness” and its limitless power.
Bloody darling
Next performance: Dec 17, 2017 @TopLab
Dogs are our loyal companions. They always listen, they always like us. They warm us in winter. Time to feed them back: Surprise your darling with healthy food that comes directly from the (human) heart!
Frau Hue explores, questions and (re)invents systems with the means of art, game design and storytelling – using social cooperation. Since 2014 she has been running several “Wurst part of me” dinners that invite participants to cook and eat a blood sausage out of their own blood.

Diatoms are photosynthetic microalgae that produce 20% of the oxygen on Earth. Although tiny, diatoms play an immense role in keeping the planet's ecosystem working. They're important mediators of carbon and oxygen cycles, an integral component of marine food webs and the principal cycles of silica, which constitutes 25% of the Earth's crust.
The workshop is open for everyone. Register here.

Trapped in transition
16 March 2017
ACUD Studio, Veteranenstraße 21, 10119 Berlin
This hands-on workshop deals with a very unique organism: partially plant, as it feeds from the sun, but more similar to bacteria in its structure and behaviour. You will learn how to make food and nurture 3 different types of microalgae. We will spend the last part of the workshop designing bioreactors and wearables for microalgae.

Vital invasion
16 February 2017
ACUD Studio, Veteranenstraße 21, 10119 Berlin
Phages are micro-organisms that invaded the planet one million years ago, having one main goal: to make life simply better. In spite of being the largest population on Earth, phages are so silent that their presence is defined by the absence of bacteria.
In this hands-on workshop, expect a face-to-face encounter: you will finally meet the phages using our DIY display technique.

Let it glow!
24 January 2017
ACUD Studio, Veteranenstraße 21, 10119 Berlin
Living in a voluntary relationship with the sea animals, Photobacterium has developed a social sense directly connected to its bioluminescence. In this open workshop, everyone will influence the social life of Photobacterium in an attempt to make it glow.
